Your four Officer Trustees were elected to lead the Union – representing every one of our students to the College and moving the Union forward in the direction that you want them to. The President works full-time and is a paid employee of the Students' Union to ensure they're always there when you need them.
Your President
Hi, I'm James, and I'm your Students' Union President. I have only experienced the role of Student Representative, but that's not stopping me from getting stuck in for my term served as SU President for the academic years of 2022-23!.
Now is the time to demand as many experiences and opportunities that could support you in your near future, and know that the Students' Union is here for you!
As a former student at DCG, I know what students should be looking for, which I aim to provide. However, time changes, and there is no better way than letting me. Simply by approaching me, emailing me or even taking the lead to create your experience by being an official representative by joining the Student Council, Student Rep or our societies such as the Student Mental Health Soc, etc.
For the year 2022-23, my vision is to build more upon what my predecessor aimed to; rebuilding the student opportunities during their time at college. So, know this strongly: I will do my best above all else, to make the necessary changes as and when possible, you can expect as much honesty from me as you would for the details that I can share. As well as this, you can look forwards to seeing more from the SU Executive Committees - all of who you'll be pleased to know are a very approachable and lovely group of individuals!. All of the team and myself are looking forwards very much to make sure you have plenty of events and opportunities during your time at college to ensure you have the best college experience possible.
